Clutch Slave Cylinder wont bolt back on engine?

After putting my tranny back in and everything back together, the bolt holes on the clutch slave cylinder wont line up.. the cylinder wont push back far enough for the bolts to be able to go in.

Any tips on this? I haven't touched the clutch or anything and the hydraulic line is still connected.

disconnect the line then you will be able to push the rod in. you will have to bleed the system after that though

not to be ****, but to easy confusion, bolts to the tranny bellhousing... There should be a rubber (or stainless steel braid) line that goes from the hardline to the slave. Now sure how much removing the line will help... Then again I installed mine with the line off so I can't say.
