fule light always on..help

my fule light stays on even when the tank is full,i cant find what the hell is wrong with it..........any ideas ???????

If you spell it correctly, the light will go out. F U E L

j/k. The sending unit on the pump is bad. Its in the tank. Under the carpet is a square panel with 4 screws and a wire harness going through a grommet in the center of the panel. Thats the pump access panel. Get a Hanyes or Chilton manual and replace the pump.

I have the same problem, mine turned on and wont turn off ever since i accidently ran out of gas one morning.

gassrx---thast what happend to me,i will probably upgrade the fule pump any way,maybe that should do it..

wow you still can't spell FUEL I'd take out the fuel pump assembly and see if the sending unit got stuck at the bottem

Got the exact same problem w/ my 88GTU, and have troubleshooted. It is the sending unit, not the pump. If I had a spare I'd replace it, but I don't. Knock on wood, at least my fuel gauge still works.

If your running n/a theres no reason to replace it. It may also be your idiot cluster screwing up on you, are you S4?
