Fuel pump Switch

Have a question regarding the "band-aid" fix for flooding. I understand many people install a cut off switch on the fuel pump relay under the dash near the steering column while others install it directly on the fuel pump line itself (I'm guessing ground wire).

With the exception of the switch location being different, are their any advantages/disadvantages of doing one over the other?

No. Switch location is it, and off the fuel pump relay you don't even have to get out of your seat to deflood.

Sorry, a bit confused by your wording. If I understand correctly, you are confirming that there is no difference other then the location. The relay just makes it a more convenient location.
