so im in the process of rewiring my fuel pump. all im stuck on is what color wire is the 12 v signal from the ECU to pump??? all i have found is the black w/ white stripe but only found that once... everyone talked about the wire but never says the color of the wire.

hey satch i finally got around to do the rewire but on my S5 TII i have different color wires on the pump harness.. i have black w/ white tracer, black, blue, red. any idea on the correct way to rewire?

 

The wires shown running to the fuel pump in the diagram are from the rear harness and not the wires actually part of the pump. Is this confusing you? If this is the case did you cut the plug connector from the pump or not?

The pump pigtail harness B/W wire should be for power. Black should be for ground. The other two wires are for the fuel gauge and low fuel light. Not sure which is which but if you still have the plug on the pigtail they should only plug into the rear harness in only one way

 

ok now i follow. i didnt think of going farther back to the harness. the actual wires that go to the pump were already cut by previous owner to put a toggle inline to but power to pump. thanks again man!
