Airtex's web site shows 2 gasket for the fuel pump.



but I was looking at the Mazda's diagram for like 15 minutes. I can only see 1 gasket

Where is the other "circle" gasket came from ? I know I can pull the carpet out and look, but its night now so its probably faster to ask here, Im 100% sure someone here will know the answer

 

come one guys someone gotta know the answer to this.

 

Assuming both of those gaskets are shown in the same scale, I can't recall ever seeing anything like that circular gasket on the fuel tank or anywhere in the vicinity of the fuel tank .

Also, I'm not 100% sure, but I seem to recall the fuel pump holder flange having more screws than the gasket shown there. It is very possible that I'm totally wrong there, but it seems like there were more screws than that. I want to say there's 12 rather than 8.

 

I haven't pull my fuel pump out yet so I dunno how many bolts are there, let me look it up in the parts catalog ...

and the circular gasket, I looked thru the whole parts catalog I can't see anything like that (or maybe I missed it?) maybe I should pull everything out tomorrow just to be sure.
