I did a search and found a message to run a switch off the ground wire off the main FP relay. I did this and when i shut the switch off the car remains running. If I disconnect the relay it of course shuts off.

Why does this not work? Should I use a different 12V wire? And if so what amperage of switch should I go to?

ive never heard of running the wire off the fuel pump relay. ive only heard of hooking the wire to some connector under the dash.

 

um.... the "some connector" under the dash, isnt that the fuel pump relay?

 

i thought the pump relay was under the hood.

 

The main relay is under the dash by the steering colum. Switching off the ground wire does not work. I just got back from Radio Shack and am going to use the blue/red wire with a 25amp switch. This is how ReTed has his wired. He beleives that you can do it by switching off the ground, but it does not, I proved it.
