Question FUEL PUMP Cut off switch for 88 REX...wheres the best place to install

The relay under the dash is too difficult to get to. Where is another good location to wire in a kill switch to kill the fuel pump...this is to help with leaky injectors after shutting off...thanks in advance.

its not to help the leaky injectors, in order to help the leaky injectors you send them in to get cleaned, calibrated, and flow balanced at RC. and the relay isnt hard to get to at all just look under the dash and its there, as for where to put it... use some imagination... you dont want the whole world knowing where you put your fuel cut switch!!!

Yea, I would advise you to hide your cut off switch somewhere. I always use the cutoff when I park my car overnight somewhere I don't feel that its safe.

What are you talking about? It doesn't get much easier than that.

The only other place to access the fuel pump wiring is at the pump itself, and that would require you to add very long wires into the circuit, increasing voltage drop and reducing pump performance. Installing a switch in the dash by the steering column at wiring it in at the circuit opening relay adds only a few inches of wire.

THANKS GUYS...I know I have to hide the switch...just hoping for something easier to get to from which to run the wires...until I can get the injectors off to send in the fuel pump kill will allow the fuel system to depressurize
by killing while running to reduce the pressure on the line and the injectors will not leak. Its running fine and this small mod will keep driveability as it is...

Why ya bumpin? NZ pretty much explained it...I had one mounted on the gage panel I have in the ashtray location, however I decided to get the injectors serviced instead of possibly varnishing up the injectors with fuel vapors, so I only used my kill switch for a couple of weeks. I used the relay near the steering column also, middle wire...that does seem to be the easiest location...

Me too. The switch is the same color as the steering column plastic, I have to look hard to find it sometimes.
Don't know what your problem is, it's very easy to access, just slide the drivers seat back.
