Fuel Leak! i cant really find it! tryed to trace it!
I just today Noticed a Strong gas smell coming from the motor! the First thing i looked at was the fuel rail! from what i can tell no gas coming from the pulse dampener! I traced the line coming from the fuel filter going into a metel tube! back out the metal tube back to a rubber hose on the under side of the intake manifold? i see alittle dampness! but not sure if its normal or just oil! please help if there are any fuel line problems that are on the 88 rx7! I would be greatfull for anything! i dont want to see it go up in flames! and not going to drive it untill i get it fixed! just hope i dont have to take everything apart? thanks agian

Why are you posting this in the engine management forum? This is for aftermarket engine control systems. You'll get more help in the Second Gen forum for this kind of problem. Also I don't know about an fc, but the fuel pulsation dampener on fd's can rupture causing an engine fire. You may have this problem. If yours is bad search around and you can find ways to just eliminate it. www.banzairacing.net has a small write up on it.

have you checked your secondary injectors?? i had the same problem before but i have an 89 GTUs. i took my intake manifolds off and left everything hooked up, i had my pops turn the key to the on position and then kick it once and fuel just started spraying out of the top of the injectors where they inserted into the secondary fuel rail.

What you do is remove the intake manifold and jump the fuel pump.
There is a yellow checker connector on the pass. shock tower. Stick a wire or 2 spade into both ends and turn the ignition to "on" . You should hear the fuel going through the system. Look for leaks from there. You should be able to see a fuel leak now.
