I had two fuel leaks in my FC in a period of two months; one was due to a broken fuel line near my fuel pressure gauge, the other was due to the FPR that decided to go kabum. On both ocasions I realized the problem before driving away. Nedless to say, now I spend 3-4 minutes every morning checking the car for fuel/oil leaks or anything suspicious (one morning I discovered I only had around 1 qt of oil left: oil cooler line gone kabum....).

I don't want to scare you, it's a helluva of a car, just be sure to remember thay are becoming old and need to be taken care of.

Best of lucks!

check the steel fuel pressure line at all of the spots where its held in place
by retaining clips, these clips hold the moisture agianst the tubes and rot them
like gangbusters

probably the pulsation dampener, at the end of the fuel rail, looks like a copper disk, check to see if the screw is in the end of it, if not it needs to be replaced with a new one, they have a nasty habbit of doing this.

Do it before it catches your car on fire.

the puddle was toward the rear of the engine...only a couple inches away from the header. i cant quite tell where its coming from. correct me if im wrong, but if its the pulsation dampener, would it be spraying fuel on the top of the motor? it seems to me as if the fuel is coming from the bottom side.

The pulsation dampener is the closent thing to the exhaust manifold regarding fuel. The fuel comes from the pump on the drivers side of the engine bay. Does it look like anything is dripping down towards the exhaust manifold from anywhere in the engine bay?
