Fuel kill
Anyone know which wire is which on the fuel pump.
3 circle connectors, and one bolt on tab.
needing some help here. I already have a fuel kill switch at the relay.. but its not helping ALL the time. It won't start sometimes, i have to go pull the EGI fuse.
So, i came up with putting another switch in before the fuel pump.. Yes the switch i got is rated for 20A, so thats fine.
Background on car: Stock Fuel system on an S4.
Any other suggestions?

I'm a little confused about 3 circle whatever. The fuel pump connector is under the rug that covers the rear, left hand , strut tower. Its under the rug on the backside of that strut tower. The BLUE wire is the 12v for the fuel pump. I'm talking the BLUE wire on the harness side of the connector. You'll not see 12v there unless the key is put to ON and the fuel pump check connectors jumper is installed OR you HOLD the key to the START position.

You obviously have a serious flooding issue that needs to be diagnosed. Have you had a compression test done recently? Have you had the injectors professionally cleaned recently? Low compression and/or dirty injectors are the main causes of flooding.

I think the Blue wire AT THE FUEL PUMP CONNECTOR, turns to black/white on the part of the harness that is attached to the fuel pump. It does not stay blue all the way to the pump. Make sense? The blue wire is AT the fuel pump connector under the rug, on the back side of the left strut tower. Just clearing things up just in case.

don't put a switch on the fuel pump wire in the back..... do it in the front, or use a relay in the back.
if the switch doesn't work in the front another one won't help.... if the one in the front isn't working then fix it.

but a switch off of the fuel pump isn't going to hurt it anyways.. more security against theft.

That's strange. On three out of three of my cars....the blue power wire for the fuel pump turns into a black/white wire at the connector just behind the left rear strut tower (under the rug). One car is a early 86model. Just FYI

1-blue
1-red
1-black with white stripe
1-black with clip screwed onto top of fuel pump.

Suggestion: Go to the fuel pump. Follow the harness back towards the strut tower. Under that rung, on the aft side of the strut tower, you will find the fuel pump plug. There you WILL see the blue wire on the fwd harness side of the plug is blue and it attaches to the fuel pump haress plug and you will see the blue turns to a black/white wire. Make sense?? Probably not. Just follow the harness from the fuel pump to the plug I mentioned and you WILL see the transformation. Forget the meter for this moment.

Not a good attitude towards someone trying to help.

You said you were having trouble with flooding. You never said anything about security. Don't change your story because you didn't like the answer you got.

1st of all, not a kid, but thanks
2nd, i know for a fact i don't know as much as you..
3rd, my problem persists regardless of either switch,.. so obviously it didn't work, and i can accept that.
and finally 4th,.. arguing on an internet forum is truely retarded.
NZ i know you mean well, and i have respect for you, but your help seems flawed at times, because of your attitude.
Hailers, .. i have all of the respect in the world for,.. he has saved my *** in his knowledge he shares.
Boosted, are you one of those kids that likes to jump on bandwagons?
Well this thread is a waste of bandwidth
