fuel filter....

fuel filter....

my na 88 rx7 gxl will sometimes shut down while im driving it could this be a fuel filter problem or a fuel pump?

It could be the fuel pump or filter...but I would also look at the cats. A clogged cat can cause this to happen too.

could be a few different things. what does it do when u try to restart it?
is ur ground terminal tight?

its a str8 pipe exhaust and im thinking that it is the fuel filter.. also i cant restart it it only starts during push starts rofl.....

does it try to turn off when you take turn sharper than usual?

then my bet is on the fuel sock on the fuel pump, had to change mine on all the sevens that ive owned because of this symptom.

no i will be cruiseing down str8 on a street and then out of no where the car would just decelarate no matter wat i do... it will keep decelarating till it hits 0 mph and 0 rpm and it would not start back on it had to be started by push starting

Get your compression checked. Change your spark plugs if you have not in a while. Check your timing. If you did not change the fuel filter when you got the car then it would probably be a good idea as it's not that expensive, but it may not be the issue. Check the connection on the AFM and make sure it's snug.
