Yeah, essentially there isn't anything you can do about losing a little fuel (not enough to make any kind of difference anyway) so it's basically just more trouble than it's worth to depressurize. Just letting it sit for a night is enough prep.

 

haha for me it drained out over 3 gallons...i must have done something wrong... but i also had to wait to finish it the next day it got too dark and had the wrong size fuel line

damn guys just unplugging the fuel pump worked for me, why is this so complicated for you guys. I was lucky if just a little bit of fuel emptied out in the pan I had. NEVER had to depressurize anything and once I plug the pump back in it started fine. Why are you all making this sound so complicated anyways. Ten minute job if your lucky,,,,,,,,,,,,geez. Replace the clamps with the screw type too, lot easier for next time.

 

I just cut the fuel line and plug it. I have never let the car depressurize, besides I love the smell of 93 octane

 

fuel filter is easy to change, theres no mystery, its all right in front of you, disconnect lines, undo bolts, throw the old one out, put the new one in, and hook that bitch up, takes like 20 minutes tops

 

20 mins of work and an hour of prep
