fuel delivery probs

ok so i bought an 88 rx7 n/a today for 500$. it cranks but dosnt start. i havent got a chance to really check it out yet but i will be doing so tomarrow. im told that the car has spark and mof was replace fuel pump repleace all intake gaskets replaced. he says the reason it wont start is because its not getting fuel but the pump does work. im just looking to see if there are any common fuel problems besides a fuel pump before i start checking the car out tomarrow at my work before i just jump into things. im also going to compression test it to make sure no internal seals are blow. what is the correct compression range? and is there any common fuel problems to look for?
