Fuel Cut-off Switch?
Ok I am having these flooding problems, I just bought this car a week ago so this is my first visit to this board. I got a 87 rx-7 with 145k miles. It ran great all week then last night I started having these flooding problems after short drives. so I found this place. I did some searching and found a great post with pics and instructions to install a fuel cut off switch. However I have a few questions:
1. How do you know exactly which wire is the correct one?
2. When would you use this switch? Would you kill it right before you turn off the engine? Right before you try to start it?
3. What is the ATF procedure? Is it holding the accelerator all the way down while trying to start it? If so that doesn't work for me.
and now probably a stupid question, but like I said I am new here. what is a FC

FC is the Japanese name for the 2nd Gen Rx-7...FC3S. The 3rd gen is the FD3S, and the 1st gen is the FB.
(these designations are part of the VIN) Do some more searching for the wire, I am positive I've seen a post exactly on that.
The ATF procedure is a trick that loosens carbon deposits in the combustion chamber and helps restore lost compression. There is also a ton of stuff posted on that.

It is a little hard to search right now, but I did read a few good post. I saw the pressure releiver at Mazdamatrix.
I still can't find anything that says when you should shut off the fuel pump. Before you shut off the car? Before you start it? When it doesn't start?
Any help?

Look for my post "How To: Fuel Cut Switch In A S5 N/A". Read step six. You flip the switch off when you wnat to park it, let it die, then turn the key off. To start the car, flip the switch on, then immediatly turn the key. I just did mine yesterday, and I keep forgetting to turn the switch on, and I end up looking pretty dumb sitting there cranking my engine!!
