Fuel Controller required with these mods?

I just got all scared all the sudden because I thought about this.

Here's my car, give or take two weeks (heh):

stock TII engine/turbo
FMIC
3" DP, 3"MP, 2"dual CB
TID from home depot
FCD
Ported Wastegate
FD Fuel Pump
EDIT: Oh yeah, either stock injectors or some 680s in the secondaries.

Do you guys think that an S-AFC or equivalent would be necessary?

Thanks

depends on what kind of boost you are pushing. I think yuo would be able to hold it at 9 psi with a ported wastegate.

I had been expecting to see 10-12psi, even with the wastegate hella ported. You think It'd be as low as 9psi?

if you are not using a boost controller then it probably is creeping from 5.5 to about 9, depending on whether or not you have a S5 or S4 (s4=5.5, S5=7.5)

Yes you should because it’s a turbo . IMO this is the first mod you should buy (whether you adjust it right away or not is another story). Because as soon as you start bolting on parts you will probably raise boost and need to compensate for more fuel. So might as well get it from the get-go and tune it along the way .

A boost controller wont lower the boost, at all, if anything it will raise the boost as it presents a restriction between boost preasure and the wastegate.

I know this. I never said a boost controller would lower boost. He did not specify whether or not he had one, and so that is why I posted my statement.

W/O one of these or similar, it's all a guessing game with your engine on the table. My two cents.

Ok I just took your post the wrong way, to me it seemed like your were suggesting that using a boost controller would lower the boost, evidently not.
Glad thats all sorted out.
