Front Strut Bar on GXL...

Everywhere I see strut bars for sale for an RX-7 say no to use them on models with the electronic adjustable suspension? Is this bullshit or is it actually bad for the GXL?

I Think its just bs I have a gxl and my bro has a tII and the shock/ strut tower mounting positions look identicle. You can actually swap the shocks from a tII to a gxl and visa versa.

Its all just bs man. I still plan on putting a front strut bar in my car.

They fit just fine. Unplug the AAS at the towers, run the wires through the strut bar, and replug them. It takes an extra 3 minutes than without AAS. You will like the difference too.

You mean there are actually people still around with AAS O.E? On mine, I have a Reactive Strut Bar. The AAS Plugs are great. I use one for my Black Magic Fan and the other for my RPM Switch used to Activate my Auxilliary Ports. (AAS Plugs are Ignition Switched).

I just put one on my 90 GXL last weekend. They just require running the plugs and caps through the holes in the strut bar. Very nice difference in handling.

I still have my AAS working, you can adjust the stiffness with needlenose pliars.

Can you elaborate the electric fan thing you are talking about

Hey Importfanatic

I'm glad you brought this point up. So much for the Manufacturer saying "Not for AAS"

Looks like we'll both be shopping for a Strut bar.

Have a good one!
