Front right tire odd bang, any ideas?

Rarely when I come to a stop it will make a crack sound. When turning sometimes I get the bang, and if it's made a bang every revolution of the tire will make a small bang (I didn't notice the revolution bang till I was in the mall parking-lot today and it echoed.) What do you think it is?

could be anything.

Have you checked youe sway bars and sway bar links?
did you check to make sure your A-arms are still intact?
Get under the car and try to figure out what's wrong with it.

I'm having a similar issue with the left side but I haven't had time to get it on the lift and check it out. Maybe next week. I'm leaning towards the sway bar being loose but I really won't know till I get under there.

yeah I havn't been able to get under it yet, was hoping to have an idea of what to look for first (I am still learning about the car so not really sure what is what but if it can come apart I can, normally, fix it and put it back together) all I have is a small jack I baught for the monte and it just doesn't really lift it high enough to see whats up.

hmm. If anything try to get a hold of some nice ramps so you can safely get under the car. Look at your sways and links and the A-arms. Hit/kick/push/twist/do whatever it takes to get the car to make the same noise and try to find the problem. A little trial and error will yield the loose/broken part.

Get the ramps and buy basic tools. Let me know what you find. I will be putting my car on the lift on Wed. so If you don't have an answer by then I'll have some pics and more details.

I noticed that the loud bang happens when I take a driveway or DIP at an angle. Good luck.

i was going to say your dif is dead but it does it has a rhythm to it while the car is moving? could be the parking break cable coming loose.

check the suspension. thats most likely the problem. the spring could have come off the seat even.
