hi, i have a 90 rx7 tll and ive been looking for the front lip spoiler for about 2 months and havent found anything, i just want to know if theres a website where i can find it. thanks

 

If you're talking about the stock s5 TII lip, it is no longer made by mazda, but Speed Machine Performance makes a replica in either CF or fiberglass.

I heard that RotaryExtreme.com makes a affordable urethane feed lip replica but I have never seen it, only heard of

demonspeed.com has a lip also but you only use COD ever with them.


btw, for anyone looking at this thread all of these lips are for s5 (89-91) bumper although demonspeed does have an s4 (86-88) lip spoiler

 

Is MikeL still selling splitters? I believe his are replicas of the Demonspeed splitters.

i think mike l stopped selling them a couple years ago
and i was told it was the other way around, mikel spoilers were demonspeed copies. i always figured demonspeed was the knockoffs. dunno for sure

I was asking because they apparently are accepting paypal now, and even though it provides more security than letting them charge your CC, I would still feel funny about handing any money over to them right away. Just wondering anyone has noticed things improving over there.

well there was a huge story, and i actually talked to the owner of demonspeed on aim, think his name was chuck or something like that. and this all went down while i was talking to him over the period of a few months,. he seemed like a real nice guy, but you never know on the internet
said probs w/ his kid going to hospital and a lot of ****

some people eventually got there stuff and i think he tried to fix some of the **** screwed up but i think that there are still some people who still got screwed

i would only do COD, people have done it and gotten their spoilers like that. End of story, it's safe. If he sends, you get spoiler. If he doesn't you keep money.

 

yup Rarest got the lip (TII LIP) for this car(back when it belonged to my friend)

 

Hmmmmm... I wasn't aware that the stock S5 TII lip was any different from the S5 N/A lip... Good to know... I still want it.

 

s5 N/As didnt come with lips.

 

They have a small black rubber lip.

 

I believe I bought one of the last few from Mazdaformance (props to Santiago for the heads up). Anyway, loved it until that first parking curb I forgot about - then - repaint. What a PITA. Wish i never spent the money the first time as I love the look but hate the crunch...

 

Mine is pretty screwed so I would like to find a new one.

 

Oh you guys are talking about that black plastic trim on the bumper that's scraped all the time. I wouldnt really consider that a lip.

 

It's a lip. It detaches in the same manner as the stock TII one so why wouldn't you consider it a lip? It also looks a lot better with it than without, which is why I recently added it to my bumper.

 

Just my opinion. Anyways I looked it up in the FSM and it's called a front airdam skirt.

 

that lip fits the S4's front contour as well right, i could have sworn i've seen somone with it bolted on to an S4, if is i'mma get one

very nice!(demonspeed s4 lip). 178.00 shipped to my door.cant complain seems how i been looking for some kinda kit to dress up front end a little. well this is hella cheaper and it looks alot better than a s4 n/a front bumper. ill just cut out the center throw the lip on and call it a day.

dude, lip you posted on that white t2 is a STOCK T2 LIP

It came on EVERY s5 t2 made, just they are all broke by now are you will be hard pressed to find an original one that hasnt been cubrchecked to powder already.

And I'm not sure how a s5 lip would look on s4, you could always get a s5 bumper and paint the rubstrips flat black. The rubstrip will be a diff one but the paint and stuff will match.

Or just get all s5 rubstrips and bumpers. You'd have to do the rear bumper too to have them all match.

Personally I think the s5 look is a lot cleaner, but this is your decision. Also s5 involves more than just a lip, thats just the last part lol

I think your car would look nice w/ S5 bumpers, sideskirts and a nice lip
