Front-end guidance Please!!!!
good day all,
i've been meaning to ask this question for a while now, but never came around in doin so due to the inconsistant nature of the problem. obviously, this is not the case at the present time and it's finally on ,my last nerve.
Problem: At first, after a car wash or during a rainy day, i would hear a thump and feel something on the floor coming from the passenger side of the front-end whenever i went up/down a curb or over a bump. this however, would be nonexistent when the car/weather was dry.
Now, the probem is constant....go up a curb, drive over a bump(bear in mind im in NY and city roads suck!!) thump, thump ,thump................ kinda annoying.
Question: Anyone ever encounter such a problem and if so, how d'you solve it?
Im planning on goin under the car this afternoon
to inspect the front-end, thus any advice and direction regarding common trouble spots would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Steve W.

Yeah, you really just need to jack up the front end, remove the wheels, and look for broken, loose, or sloppy parts in the suspension. That'll probably be a pain to track down, unfortunately.

Anyone else care to share their knowledge as to why i was gettin that thump noise under wet conditions as opposed to dry?
Thanks Again,
Steve W.
