Front E-Shaft Bolt Oil Leak Question

Just finisihed rebuilding the 13BT, dropped it in, started it and having assorted problems--but that's for another day...

I noticed a small pool of oil in sitting the front of the main pulley. After reserearching it seemed like a pretty straightforward fix. I loosened the main bolt with the "starter trick" and lef the main pulley on. I pulled the the bolt out along with the oil thermo pellet to find I forgot the crush washer during the rebuild. I put the crush washer on, loaded it up and the threads with RTV and stuck it back in--only hand tightened right now. After reading more and more posts and originally referring to the FC3SPro write I'm now concerned that I should have had the clutch pushed in the entire time--I didn't. What's the verdict?

Thanks in advance,

B

You probably want to pull the front cover off & take a look. Better annoyed than with a torn up front bearing stack.

Joy.

That clutch technique should probably be listed on the http://fc3spro.com/TECH/HOWTO/OTB/otb.html site I did, after tightening everything down, check for slight end play according to the Mazdatrix FAQ and it's within spec .

I may be lucky or I may be pulling that front cover off shortly.
