front E-shaft bearing check

ok i keep reading these threads warning people about pulling their front Eccentric bolt because the front bearings may fall out of place. well, ive pulled my front bolt out several times and never knew about the whole thing. so how can i tell if my bearings have fallen? i imagine it would make an awful lot of racket if they were out of place. my car doesnt make any noises that i would contribute to a bearing or lack thereof. the only time my car makes an noise that i could link to front bearings is at top RPMs it makes this high pitched squeal, but ive attrbuted that to my alternator being bad. am i wrong? so how do i check to see if the bearings or out. and if they are out, how do i fix them?

Bearings falling. That's a new one on me. I've been in a few and don't see how bearings can fall out. In fact I'm building one now. By front bearing to you mean the front main bearing? I think there is some misinformation. Someone step in that has heard of this.
