Ok well i got my engine apart and was just wondering if this happens to all rx's or just mine. on the inside of the front cover you can see 100 different little cracks. ON the outside you can see the cracks a little bit but there is nothing coming through the cracks. Does it need to be replaced?

 

Those are usually from the cast. If you look closely they are not cracks, its just part of the cast.

YEP.... the polish out quite nicely too!!!

If it was cracked through however, it would need to be replaced
