front cover bolt broken

ok well i am a retard, i broke a front cover bolt tightening it down, so i got half the bolt out and half stuck in the motor, now are there any front cover bolts that go completely through the motor? The one i snapped is the one on the very bottom on the drivers side, this weekend we are dropping the oil pan and taking the front cover off.

Second question, any have any luck with these bolt extractors ect...?

but most importanly are there any bolts on the front cover that go all the way through the motor? like 18in long i believe?

none. they all stop at the front plate

1) Make sure before you tighten them down that none bottom out. Some are longer then others, make sure you put them where they need to go.

2) Bolt extractor should work, its not like its rusted in there, just over tightened and or bottomed out.

3) If the engine's still in the car have fun putting the front oil pan bolts in Its doable but a PITA!

Yeah you can get that bolt extracted with a good easy out. Drill a small hole in the center of it with a little bit and then use an easy out to remove it.
