Question Front caliber (4-piston type) question

I've got the 4-piston type calipers on the front of my 90 GXL. These calipers are two pieces (i.e., front and back), which are held together with a couple of bolts. The Mazda FSM warns against dissembling the calipers. I'm wonder why the FSM says not to dissembly -- anyone have a clue? Has anyone dissembled theirs? If so, than is there a gasket or o-ring between the housing?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

No need to take them apart. You're correct, seals between the halves, and no replacements available. If you rebuild, don't take the calipers apart.
