front brake rotor stuck?

Hey guys, I've bee replacing my brake rotors, got the back done but I got to the front and the first one I get to is STUCK. Got both screws and the caliper off but the thing won't budge. I've nailed it with penetrating oil and beat the living $h!7 out of it with a mallet but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions or is there something else holding it on? (Other than the two philips screws and the caliper itself)

In the past I have used a small 5 lb sledge hammer and hit the backside of the rotor. It may not be the best method if you are reusing the old rotor, but if you are replacing it will work fine.

You don't have to hit it hard, the mass of the sledge will do the work. a rubber mallot may not have enough force.

mine where like this last winter when i did my brakes on the passengers side one i beat it so much the rotor actuallly broke and fell off

but on the drives side i though i would be alittle smarter and i took the whole hub off with the rotor stuck to it. i put the hug face down with all the studs sitting a hard surface and droped a 20lb sludge on the rotor and it came off after a few hits. when i put the hub back on i replaced the bearings
