friends car is having problems
Well my friend has a TII and is having some problems all of the sudden. The engine is a fresh rebuild with 3000 miles on it. He broke it in properly and everything and it was running strong. He has full exhaust and intake and running 8-10psi on a stock fuel system besides a fcd. Could he have blown the engine like that or what? The car shut off all the sudden and wouldn't start. We came back to the car prepared to tow it, but I sprayed some starter fluid in the intake and it started right up, and made it home only sputtering some. Could it be a fuel issue, or does it sound like a thrown seal? We're going to have a compression test done tomorrow. I always thought the stock fuel system could keep up with 8-10psi though.

I would say he could be pushing the envelope if no fuel mods and running 10 lbs. Disconnect the plug wires, pull egi fuse, and remove 1 plug from the front housing. Turn engine over and listen for equal noise. You can even place you finger/thumb over the hole to check. Put that plug in and check rear the same way. Should be able to listen if no/low compression in 2 adjacent chambers.
