Dake - Hate to be the one to break it to you (well, i guess The Spyder hinted at it), that's not really that good of a deal.. Unless you already have an engine and an interior laying around, you're going to get a LOT of money wrapped up in it to bring it up to factory specs, let alone performance specs. I got my car for 200 dollars, (it ran, I drove it home). I'm about $1,900 into it. I didn't have to buy an engine, though... that's going to be expensive...

good luck, though!

Yeah I wouldn't call that a good deal...I don't think I would take something like that for free. Just needs too much work. I love projects, but that car is like starting from scratch.

I'd post parts for it on the forum like the hatch, hood--aluminum perhaps? and yeah just part it out. to me it wouldn't be worth 150, but it could sure get me about 300 bucks profit if you parted it outright.

You guys aren't too bright. ALL of the engine bay cmoponent, besides the actual block, and coming with the car. The interior is flawless. Our other friend is doing all the body work + paint (he does a very good job, I've seen his work) for $200. Our hook up at Shucks gets a 45% employee discount. We may even get the old engine block for ~$50, which would cut back on rebuild costs majorly. We're hoping to get it running for $2000, and runing well. We'll keep you guys updated.

I say use it as a project race/drag car. Stripe the rest of the interior, drop a TII motor/tranny in it, and have fun. Make it a sleeper type car, beat up looking but fast.

ACtually, he's planing on going supercharger rather than turbocharger when he has the cash. And it is a project car, don't get me wrong. Right now, for paint, he's thinking Gunmetal gray with an offset black racing stripe. It'll look tight, and run well, I guarantee it.

A pawn shop in downtown Kenewick got forclosed on. There is another RX7 and 3 13B engine blocks just lying around. It's insanity.

How is the interior flawless? Im not trying to be a dick or anything, but that car isnt worth restoring. Its a 4-lug S4 N/A.. you can find for sale in good shape and well running for under $1000... Short of the hood (if its aluminum) I barely even see $150 worth of parts there.

Calling forum members that know more about rx-7's than you probably do "not too bright" probably isn't the coolest thing you can say on here. So if ALL of the engine bay components are included aside from the block i assume you're getting all intake manifolds and whatever accesories shoudl be included? And as for you interior being "flawless" not to scrutinize but your dash does need some work.

You do have a lot of work ahead of you bud, so i wish you luck. but calling people not so bright or whatever may step on toes. and you posted it so be ready for criticisim. just don't make it personal. and the fact that you basically posted pictures and little info for others to read we just have to go with what we see.

I'm sorry, I'm not too optimistic but I DO wish you guys luck. Its always a good thing when someone attempts to save a Seven from scrapyard hell.

Everthing we need for the interior is there, or in the 7 sitting next to it.

Oh, and this isn't meant as a "In two weeks this will be a sweet ryde!" Thing, it's meant as a project car.

I give you guys props if you guys can get this project off of the ground. For the most part that's an OK looking basket case you got there. BTW one thing I have to know, how are you going to get that thing off of that debris pile? It looks like a collapsed trailer to me ant thise things aren't too stable.

Just so you guys know what your in for, I got my S5 for free but I have sunk about 1400 into it since I got her back in December. And she is (was) in much better shape when I got her.

Yep, we'll be careful. And the point kinda is to start from scratch. He kinda is trying to see if he can get it running for $2k.
