And as for you interior being "flawless" not to scrutinize but your dash does need some work.

You do have a lot of work ahead of you bud, so i wish you luck. but calling people not so bright or whatever may step on toes. and you posted it so be ready for criticisim. just don't make it personal. and the fact that you basically posted pictures and little info for others to read we just have to go with what we see.

Matt

"Nott too bright" was incorrect word choice, I think "don't understand" is mopre accurate. And yes, we are getting EVERYTHING besides the engine block.

You can't make claims like that either. There was no engine block or drivetrain in the pictures you posted. The interior is not complete in the pictures you posted, and you didn't say anything about your 50 dollar engine core in the pics.

You're really going to have to provide full information if you want an honest evaluation. especially if it's going to turn into people being "not too bright" or "don't understand". It seems like everyone who posted in this thread understood the situation perfectly until you declared you had an engine block availible for 50 bucks

hell, I've almost paid 200 for an interior in that shape several times
and there are plenty of usable parts if nothing else
I think many of you are underestimating the cost of parts, just look at how much light switches run for crying out loud
I think this is a very good deal as long as you have a place to store it where it won't rust and the time to devote to it.

I have seen a lot of people in this thread wish you "luck" I will wish you "skill" It's going to take a lot more skill, than luck, to get that shell running again.

As far as what your friend paid... well, we all pay what we do for the cars we get. Some get better deals than others. I spent over blue book for my car, but I would have spent twice what I did, to get the car I did. I had a car identical to the one I now own, back in the late 80's early 90's. The car I bought is the first one I have found, in 2 years of searching, that was exactly identical to the one I had previously owned... and to top it off, it only had 28,000 original miles on it! So, if your friend is happy with his purchase, then more power to him.

Well all I have to say is all the people bashing you are being stupid. The way I look at it, it's a tough project, but it's great to see someone restoring a 7 in that condition. I'm happy that you're lookin' to fix it. I know people bash S4 base's, the way I look at it; It's the lightest and most fun to wreak hell in.

Good luck, and I hope you have the skill to restore it right.
