fresh Swap Question(s)

I did an engine swap this week, 90 13b for 90 13b both are n/a's. Im fairly confident, i didnt miss any vacum lines & all the electrical should be good. On initial fire up, it smoked slightly for about a minute, then cleared right up. After running it the third time the idle jumped from about 900 to 1400, any idea's? Its a stock block, rebuilt by a mazda mech, about 30 000 km ago, Racing beat header, cats removed, and I think borral mufflers. Also i need to quite it down with a cat or presilencer, im also looking to reduce the exhaust fumes which seem pretty potent! Any advise? thanks Jay

is it pulsing from 900 to 1400? might be bad vacuum. if your using old lines, its possible its bad vacuum. also check your tps and air idle screw
