fresh rebuilt motor problems

I used an omp block off plate and plugged the oil injectors with fitting bolts. Ran premix 8oz in a full tank. When I tried starting the motor, I heard what would be a "rod knock" for piston engines. Then the car just died out. Tried manually turning the motor with a breaker bar and it seemed to be seized. A few hours later I tried cracking it and it cranked but battery died. Any ideas on what's going on?

Were the oil injector bolts (fitting bolts?) the correct length?

I'm sorry to say, but if they are too long and you wrenched them down, you could have done serious damage to the engine...

I don't want to scare the **** out of you, and I hope this isn't the case...

They were long, but we cut em so to make em short. I knew if it were to be long it'd hit the rotors so I made sure they were shortened

If they didn't hit then, then they wouldn't hit when you went to start the car.

Be sure all the accessories turn freely(water pump/ac/air pump) if everything looks good you should go ahead and take the motor back out and disassemble it. Was any porting done to this engine?

Oil pressure? It didn't show on the gauge. I can not turn the motor by hand, but it turns with the key. And no porting has been done.

Yeah we put oil. 4qts and it didn't register so we ended up putting 5 1/2 qt and on the dip stick it said it was somewhat low. And my friend Greg assembled the motor. He supposedly does a lot of rebuilds and a lot of people go to him. So I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing.

did you pull the engine out yet?
It could be a flywheel issue, or when you installed the engine back into the car, something might have dropped in through the intake.

This...take the motor out. If it's the fault of the builder he should man up and fix it.
