vacuum is related to compression, vacuum will also be low until the apex seals have fully seated which usually takes 500+ miles.

Phew, thanks for the reply. I'm sweating a little less now. Thought maybe I missed something, though I was pretty careful with checking and double checking everything.

12-13. before the rebuild, it was around 16. Does that sound pretty normal?

doesn't sound all that low for a rebuild, give it some time.

btw, have you checked the West Rx7 boards? we are having a meet this weekend for our club.
