Fresh rebuild questions

I have a 91 na streetported, with 60 miles on it an about 4 idle hours. It is running good with minimal flooding. I'm wondering, how long I should expect it to be smelling rich from the exhaust. I didn't notice the exhaust smell during idle time, yesterday. But, today when I got a chance to drive it I noticed it. Also, should I wait at least 2k miles before attempting smog? Or how long? I will be installing an AFC NEO tomorrow so maybe I can lean it out at the smog shop. I have a wide band to install also.

On a side note, anybody got any pics of gauges mounted in ashtray area?

Well, these things run rich from factory, as you may know, and your engine is still breaking in, so that could be a factor. Also, did you have your injectors checked/cleaned?

What emissions equipment are you running (if any). These are all factors, and more info is needed to address your question.

I have all emissions equipment still installed. Injectors were not checked/cleaned. So should I wait for full break-in before smogging?
