fresh rebuild, no start

I have a 91 gxl with a s5 jspec swapped into it. The swap went smooth but the motor had bad coolant seals. (dont buy from http://www.jdmenginescorp.com/ ). So i got it rebuilt.

It is just a stock rebuild, and I decided to go premix. After getting everything hooked up and installed. The car doesnt want to start. The motor will turn over but doesnt sound like its getting fuel. But there is pressure in the lines.

When i first tried to start it I noticed all my idiot lights are on. Everytime I put the car on the ON position the lights stay on. I've searched and it seems to be a alternator problem, but my alternator was good before the rebuild. Everything was in good working order.

After having 3 rotary friends look at the motor, everything seems to be hooked up correctly. Any suggestions to whats wrong?

did you run through the deflooding procedures?

CAS stabbed properly and plugged in?

plug wires hooked up to the proper positions?

AFM plugged in?

blown EGI fuses and/or comp fuse?

fuel lines backwards at the fuel rail just off the fuel filter?

major vacuum leak? (jumper the fuel pump test connector at the RF strut tower to verify, it is a yellow 2 pin connector)

spark plugs in good condition and not fouled from assembly lube?

i can pretty much guarantee you it is one of these small issues, that or you got a **** rebuild.

All the idiot lights are SUPPOSED to come on when the key is put to ON. They go out once the engine actually starts and rotates the alternator.

Pull the RETURN line off the engine. Put a jumper in the fuel pump check connector (yellow, two socket plug near the front of the right strut tower, laying about and not tied down).

Key to ON. Fuel should flow constantly out the return line FROM the engine. IF not, then the fuel lines are crossed up or not connected properly SOMEWHERE.

ENGINE fuse is probably good if you have fuel pressure.

1. Yes i did the deflooding procedures, with the EGI Fuse.

2. Yes the CAS is set correctly and is plugged in

3. Yes the wires are plug up correctly, I double checked with other rx7s.

4. AFM is plugged in

5. All fuses are good in the cabin and the engine bay

6. I took the UIM off and followed the metal lines on the rats nest to make sure i hooked up the fuel lines correctly since the FPR is on the primary fuel rail.

7. I checked for a vaccum leak and coudlnt find any. I jumped the connector and can hear the fuel pump(walbaro) whining and then tried starting the car and it still didnt work.

8. First i used my old spark plugs, to start it. It didnt work, so i put the new ones i got from Rotary Performance. and still no luck.

BDC built my motor, I was there so i know the motor was built correctly.

I took the lower sparkplugs out and turned the motor, no gas came out? i always thought gas will pour out if there is no spark plugs there. Does this mean my injectors are not putting gas into the motor?

FPR is on the secondary fuel rail

the fuel line off the fuel filter should hook to the forward steel line and return to the rear unless you have a jspec setup then it may be reverse, been a while so i forget. you can do what Hailers suggested to verify if you are getting flow the proper direction, if the pressure hits the FPR first it will be blocked and will not flow out the other side.
