Four Wheel Drive FC?

I was bored and watching some Rally races on speed vision and the idea popped in my head

"Four Wheel Drive FC"

My ? is, is it possible, and/or ethical?
If it possible, how much does it cost, how much weight does it add (not really an issue unless it adds a lot), and would there be a performance loss over having just rear wheel drive?

Thanx in Advance,
Dustin

its been done, i've seen a pic of the car. From what i remember from the thread already posted, its really expensive transition. Some nice rotary pal will probably stick the link back up here.

th amount of money/time you would pour into that conversion makes the 20B conversion look like changing your wiper blades.....

lol. Thanx for the info. I didn't think the question was asked before so I didn't search.

I thought I was being original.

Thanx
Dustin.

I posted the 4wd FC post.

Rod Millen did indeed make a 13B (not 20b) rally car.

Complete tube chassis and custom tranny that was forged and built at his shop.

Two were built.
One was sold ($130k!!!)

The other is not for sale and Mr. Millen is not interested in selling it.

(I spoke to him) - but not about buying it.

here is the post.

Man, it seems like Rod Millen always gets the cool cars. Actually, all of the Millen's seem to always get cool cars built just for them........I wish my last name was Millen so someone would build me a cool car to race.

Hey Funklord, do you have a link to these pics? I would love to see the car and check it out. RE Amemiya creates beautiful rx7s and this gets my attention.

Actually according to this website and these pics, Rod Millens 4wd FC rally car was a 20B making around 500 hp. He also made a 4wd FB with a 13B. Heres the website: http://cp_www.tripod.com/rotary/pg15.htm

actually, I posted the pics of Rod Millens 20B 4wd rally car in the same thread where someoner else posted pics of the RE car. I made the argument that they were the same car (he did sell one of them)

the link you posted was one of the 'other 4wd FC' posts.
i'll find the right link in a min
