Found Small Crack in Radiator Today

Unhappy Found Small Crack in Radiator Today

ok so yeah found a small crack in the rad.
now my question is the koyo rad better or the fluidyne rad ? just wanted to maybe get a heads up as i plan on ordering this in about two weeks thanks..

whatever is cheaper. beware though, you might have to cut your radiator fan shroud to kingdom come.

yeah well if i do this i will most likely go electric fan route so i can eliminate the shroud all together

Same thing happened to me. So I got my Koyo for around $280 and slapped it in. The fan shroud does still fit just not as perfect as it did before.

I have heard good things about the fluidyne, and apparently it fits better... although I have no proof of this other than what I have read here on this forum.

Putting an electric fan in will not eliminate the need for a fan shroud. Not sure why people think this.....

yeah well the fluidyne cost more but i dont really care about fitment as much as performance

and i didn't know u still needed the shroud if u had elect. fan but either way i just thought it was a useless piece of plastic anyway but guess not... lol

^^ It helps direct airflow to cover a bigger area on the radiator. I have seen threads where people make their own fan shroud for their electric fan.

yah. a shroud pulls air from THE WHOLE entire surface of the radiator,m rather than just exactly whats in front of the fan.

With an E-fan, you need a shroud, but not the huge stock one.

Just something like this that covers the whole surface to allow the fan to pull air through the whole thing:
