Gang, I got my car back from the shop a year ago and I've barely driven it until recently. When I would drive it I noticed everything just smelled like gas. It took me a while to realize that I just left the gas tank vent line just uncapped and disconnected in the engine bay. Yesterday I rummaged through the garage and found my charcoal canister and went and bought some vacuum hose and hooked it all back up and it smells so much better.

That's all. I'm just excited.

 

when i start my car i forget all about the vent line in my engine bay, the exhaust pumps out a billion times more raw fuel than the vent. heh

 

I hear ya. I'm just trying to limit the smell that gets in all of my work clothes.

 

My friends used to know I was in the building when it smelled like a gas station.
