can anyone help me hooking up things here? as some of you know i bought an rx-7 not too long ago and doing a bit of work on it. Can anyone help me with what hose goes where? In the first picture, thats the pic of the gas tank that i acquired. Can someone write down which hose does what? or even better if u can match the hose numbers from the gas tank to the car fuel lines. The thing that i'm not understanding is why is there 4 inputs on the car and only 3 outputs on the gas tank. just for reference of the pictures, on the gas tank, where number "1" is ontop of that there's the gas filler hose spot, and on the other pic where letter "d" is, the white looking thing thats the bottom of the metal for the spare tire.

 

If I remember right, the tank only has an inlet, an outlet, and a vent. The car should have a fuel feed line, a fuel return line , and then obviously the vent line to the charcoal canister. I dont know what "D" is in that one picture... Once again, thats only if I remember it right.

Nope, not a clue, lol. I think the feed line is larger than the return line, and the vent line is probably the smallest one.

D does not hook to the tank. It hooks to the thing that the vent goes to. The other end of D should end up going into a hole in the "frame" and it just sits in there.

 

the one that goes up into the frame is probably the roll over valve vent hose they don't exist on the 78~80 model SA22C frames in japan but they were a requirement for the statesside model if I remember correctly.

my car is a 1984 gsl, with a canadian soul to it. Do you guys happen to know what is what off the gas tank though? and if anyone has any pics of where "d" goes to. that would be great. thanks
