yeah, overpriced but a great thing to have. nice for a dual exhaust setup with huge piping for your turbo to increase low-end response.

That + TurboII during hard driving = Molten metal

Interesting concept though, a lot better than stuffing a "silencer" in the back of your muffler.

So where does it got? mid pipe? down pipe? or on the end of the muffler?

I don't get it, if you block off all flow won't the car stall?

eh.. explain please

You build a Y into your exhaust system, mount this on one side of the Y and the other goes to your usual muffler so you can be somewhat legal. You open it and the exhaust bails through this and a small amount through the regular exhaust. A friend of mine has one of the quick time performance ones that is adjustable on how much it opens or closes, it's a trick piece but I'm not sure how long it'd last with the heat either.

Oh, and the quick time ones are way cheaper than that. http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/ They come in varying sizes and with a Y already so all you have to do is weld it in.

make the butterfly out of inconel and i bet it won't give you any problems. i say with a little development, it'd be a good candidate for a sequential twin setup.
