Hmm R1 lip? have you seen pictures of that on an FC before? just because its off another RX7 dosent mean it looks right lol kinda like putting a 96 supra wing on an 87supra....ghey S5 has its own stock lip

Yea the car is rice but it is in japan so there is a likely hood of it having more HP than 90% of the cars on this board lol I have other pics, it has the FC2000 front on it and like 5 LCD screens lmao

This is easy to do.
You can knock out the color lens covers on the stock tailights, and it'll look like this.

I dunno, I think you're all just pissed at the big gay *** spoiler, not the tails. I don't think the tails are *that* bad, its the spoiler that makes the entire car a piece of ricer crap that used to be a damn nice looking FC verter.

 

How many TIIs sold here? How many in Japan? I visit alot of japanese web sites and it seems like they are into preformance as much as crazy looking cars. You have no clue if that car is stock under the hood AND NO i dont like how it looks. I like a clean look. Just though this would be interesteng thread since there are always newbies wanting to know about clear taillights.

 

well IS300 style is rice....
these AREN'T the prettiest lights around, but in my opinion, they are fair....

i mean, they aren't CLEAR lens + RED lights and well, are just a different design thats all =)

ok, i know that spoiler is not that great too.... but it is better than civics pretending to be Altezzas....

 

no what that guy did was actually knock that stock S5 outter lense out and cut it, leave the reverse light part there, glue them back together
and it is NOT EASY, i tried, no success

 

cant u knock the outer lense out and boil the red away? i think my friend did that with his conquest and it turned out okay. I think all the red is, is a dye. looks fast, but how fast could it be without a fmic. stock intercooler??? or how about N/a. unless they think fmic's way alot and would save weight ratios so they can add a huge radio control tower to it.(ie spoiler) oh well. another 7 bites the dust, bum bum bum, bumbumbum bum bum.

 

well, (don't kill me yet and don't want to start a FM vs VM debate)
but that 7 MIGHT (i said might) have a V mount intercooler instead of a Front mount.... looking at those PRETTY air vents....

funny thing is, adding a 747 airplane wing on the back of a vert..... well um.... would that help alot? On the VERT? come on, there's no hard top.....

alrighty, couple things i wanna say:

1) what an American might consider 'rice' (whatever that means), is not necessarily viewed negatively in other parts of the world. I don't understand why some people just can't accept that that is just part of Japanese car style culture. Car modification culture differs from country to country, and you'll find that USA, UK, France, Germany, Japan, etc. all have different ideas as to what would make their car look cool. Even car enthusiasts within the US can rarely come to a consensus as to what would look cool, so please, saying something is fugly or rice or whatever wonderfully negative descriptions you can come up with when it comes from another country, whose people may very well find it cool, is just immature, foolish, and doesn't really demonstrate that you are capable of higher levels of mental processing. If you saw some big mean biker with a harley and it had chrome all over it and custom art and flames shooting out of his exhaust, would you go up to him and say, "dude, your bike is fking ugly" or "man, that's so rice"? No you wouldn't, coz his culture (biker/hell's angels/whatever) is totally different from yours, and you gotta respect that.

2) if you've played video games like Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 (which is sort of based on Japanese highway racing culture), you'd know that changing of rear tail lights lens to make them light up in a different colour is quite a popular (albeit street illegal i think) modification. Some people think it's cool to have rear brake lamps which light up white or blue. Whether this is hazardous is other drivers or not is a topic for a different debate. you can call it stupid, dumb or whatever, but bear in mind that throughout history, regardless of where you come from, male youths have never failed to demonstrate their propensity for foolish behaviours.
