A forum member should build us a FMIC kit
I still want to do a horrizontal radiator mounted way low with a large IC core in place of the stock radiator, but im pretty sure my ultimate goal of a 20b would require me to replace the whole setup anyways, so im just going to stick with stock placement for now.
It's been done before, but I haven't seen it too much...
Swing the rad position vertical and stuff the IC in front.
If I measured the numbers right, a "Skyline" core will barely fit (24" wide), and the intercooler pipes will be some of the shortest for a FMIC.

BlueT2- I have always liked that desiggn you mentioned, even though it hasent really hit the western world yet. The only prob I see(when I pondered the idea looking at my car) is that the IC would sit so close to the hood that I dont see how you could put a duct in the hood, just a hole. That design seems so logical, no heatsoak and no airflow blockage, but how will your duct have the necesarry spcae between the IC and hood? The piping would be like a total of around 4 feet!
