Followup to no boost

Some of you may rememer that i lost my boost awhile ago. in the last couple of days the car got even worse, couldnt even go up a hill. Some of you thought that it might of been the wastegate getting stuck, but i checked one thing before the wastegate. I loosed two exhaust bolts and left a 1/2 inch gap in the pipe right before the cat and now i have full boost again. Car is loud as hell but im going to drive it like that until i have time to get the cat replaced. Will there be any problems from running the car like this for a couple of day? the rest of the car is stock. Thank you all the previous help and suggestions.
