Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
are the bulbs good???
and your bump was deleted. Bumps are forbidden here in the 2nd gen technical section.
And a bump after only a half hour kinda makes you look like a spoiled child, that thinks your question is more important than anyone elses.

Is the switch good? Maybe the contacts need to be cleaned?

Probably bulbs, but I had 2 wires that were corroded (they had all that blue dusty crap around them) and had been severed by corrosion. The other fog light I had trouble with once was a bulb out.
You should grab power tester and see if there is voltage at the plug on the switch half of it. If not, then you at least know where to begin.

Along with not having the fog lights or the switch, my GTUs was also missing the relay. The switch controls the relay which applies the power to the lights. There were three relays on my car to start with. They are located just behind where the nose and hood meet. If there are 4 there make sure they're all plugged in. If only three that may be your problem. Also automatics have a relay for the aux. fan but I think they also have fog lights so they would have 5 as do the Turbo II as it also has the aux. fan. I don't know if this applies to series 4 cars but since yours is an '89 it should be tha same.

noob here. sorry to bring this back up again but I have a 91 coupe that didn't come with foglights. I also plugged everything in (foglights and switch) and still haven't really put in time to making it work. I found this thread
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hlight=OEM+Fog
where they talked about putting in a relay.
If you just take the relay off of another rx7 with the foglights does it plug right up? or is that not how the relay works? If it does just plug up will it work after and is there a harness that goes into the relay?

I didn't read the post above but a brief scan through. I used the factory relay out of the car I got my fog lights from. The plug is there that goes to the relay they just left the relay out on non fog light equipped cars.

When I put factory fog lights in my GTU, I ran into the same problem, searched the forums, found out I was missing a relay, pulled the relay off the car I got the fog lights from, put it in the GTU, plugged it into the matching plug on already on the harness and it all worked fine.
Also, they only work when your headlights are on.

Edit: The write-up isn't complete as I'm still waiting for the fog-lights themselves to get through the holiday rush... UPS = teh suck. But the rest should be accurate.

I'm waiting for my set to come in from ebay as well. And yes.. You are getting the following:
*Fog Lights
*Fog light brackets
*Wiring Pigtails
You will not however be getting the fog light surrounds/ducting which, IMO adds to the clean factory look of the fog lights...
Here's an example (the auction I won. hehe)
