Fog Light?

hey, my 1990 RX-7 factory fog lights aren't turning on but there is power going to the switch, should i replace the factory fogs with some aftermarket ones? or just replace the bulbs? i am sure others have had this problem...could anyone offer suggestions with solutions? or have pics of what you decided to go with?

Umm....I am having the same problem with my 89 GXl, I believe I read somewhere that fog lights have a tendancy to burn out rather quickly so keep them and just replace the bulb. I kinda want to know how hard it is and what my options are when it comes to bulbs?

i tried taking mine out...but they were in there for 10 years and all the screws were so rusted that when i tried unscrewing them i ended up stripping the head off the screw... then i got pissed and just started drilling and ripping till i got them out...afterwards it came to me that it probably would have been easier if i looked at the FSM on how to do it properly...

if your bulbs are burnt ....get some h3 bulbs and ground the wire on the bulb ........the factory bulbs are h3c (something like that) but cannot be found anywhere!

your better off with the h3 and modifing them!

both FCs haven't burnt out yet.

BTW - can't you just pop off the clear lense cover? I replaced the fog lamps 2 months back during a restoration and I recall you don't have to unscrew the entire chassis, just pop the cover off.
