FMIC question

I just got my self a 87 TII and wanted to know if it is possible to run a FMIC while keeping the A/C. Keeping the A/C is important to me because i live in AZ and it is HOT ! Let me know if i should just stick with the TMIC or go FMIC? My motor has a large Steet port on it with a S5 turbo.
I plan on doing a complete rebuild of the motor because i dont trust the Port on it.

Please provide some input on what route i should take before i start this Project.

You can keep the A/C if the intercooler is mounted far enough ahead of the support bar, and the piping snakes around the compressor.

Off hand I don't know what aftermarket kits allow you to do this. The HKS unit seems to be setup to allow clearances (which is why the pipes are nine miles long and why it sits at the front of the bumper).

You don't really need a FMIC for a stock S5 turbo at stock (or close to stock) boost.

Thanks for the info, I do plan on going with a bigger turbo later on, but i want to get the FMIC mounted and installed while the Engine is out. I have the whole engine bay empty and ready for paint and what ever Mod i will need to do to create Room. I want to make what ever cuts i need before I paint it.

I think Greddy makes multiple kits. I have the 3-row (the core is pretty big) and it is designed to run with no a/c or power steering. I had to do custom piping to have it run under my powersteering pump, and it still won't fit with A/C, but I don't have that .

It can be done, but without nice duct work its not going to work well...
I still wouldn't plan on running the car hard in the summer here, you've got to remember air temperatures coming off the pavement exceed ambient air temps..

I've never seen it done but what if there was a E-Fan attached to the front of it that was switchable, Like a push and pull system

He's using the "new" Greddy kit, not the old school one that enters and exits on the right side. His piping's been massaged a bit to clear the brake master cylinder, but it fits between (and slightly over) the PS pump and strut tower without issue. He doesn't run PS anymore however, but it fit with PS and A/C (still runs ac)
