Has anyone made their own piping for the FC. I am looking at an intercooler from extremeturbosystems.com but they don't sell a piping kit for it. Can anybody help me out??

good luck getting dimensions....I have been asking for months. the only answer you will get will be "go to a muffler shop and have them bend it for you" but they never tell you dimensions........searching doesn't help either. I have pics but no dimensions yet.....FMIC pics Let me know if you find something

every FMIC mounts slightly differently kits only work for certain intercoolers so for almost all applications you need to use a universal kit or meaure the lengths and angles yourself.

yeah, depends on the intercooler you how you mount it. I have a Volvo intercooler nearly the size of the radiator. You can get couplers and stuff from www.ATPturbo.com and then do like someone mentioned before and measure the distances and angles to get someone to make you some pipes to fit. You might be able to use PVC pipe as a model for them to duplicate.

The word universal implies it can be used for any car, so your answer is yes... kinda

Theres no universal kit for intercoolers, as there all different.

The easiest thing is to buy an elbow, then get the piping from a mandrel bender ( quite expensive ) order only lots of lilee parts and get them weldeg and or use silicone couplers. Or an exhasut shop for slight beds.

I just did my intercooler piping for a RE intercooler. And fuckkk aftert all the little parts and peices to make it look right. It cost almost the same as a new greddy 2 row kit

You would need to find somebody with the exact intercooler and the exact engine bay configuration, and then you could use their dimensions. Otherwise, you are looking at a custom installation because not every intercooler or car is the same.

I'm making my own with an aluminum pipe kit i bought that has about 8 pipes with different bends. like karack said you have to figure out your own angles, adn lengths. I'm just going to do it one pipe at a time starting at the turbo and work my way around to the tb.
http://www.hightempsilicone.com/ this is where i bought the hose to make couplers ( its less expensive to cut your own.) one hose of the 4 ply aramid hose cost 26.00 for the 2.75 ID and make 4 3" couples. one couplers of the 4ply aramid cost 10.00. I bought two of the black hoses.

Thanks for the input. Basically what everyone is saying is that I have to buy an intercooler and go from there. I've seen mandrel bent aluminum pipe on ebay so maybe i'll get some of them and see if I can make something happen!
