Question Fmic ??

My IC fins are starting to get all bent out of shape from highway driving.. Does anyone use anything in particular to straighten them out? i used a simple flat head screwdriver. Maybe theres somthing easier, and a better way of doing this?

I just realized another benefit from a TMIC When anything of mine gets bent fine, I just pay my little sister $5 and give her a flathead to straiten them out.

That really sucks. I would try a small and thin flathead.

put chicken wire in front. but put it fare enough back so it does not look rice. If you put your IC way up in front then you should have known that this would happen

#1 id never trust anyone to work on my car, let alone a 5 yr old
#2 Id much rather have a FMIC over a TMIC even if i have to sit there for 6hrs to straighten out my fins
(no heat soak, and cooling is 10x better)

Im not saying my IC is really bad, but im very ****, so even a few fins bent will bother me alot. I was hoping people had some other kinda methods besides a screwdriver. maybe this is the only way

ahh... sorry i just cant see myself driving around with chicken wire on my car lol... its just way too red-neck / rice, whatever you wanna call it. My other car had the same problems so i knew this would happen. After driving on highways over a period of time its going to happen, Fins will get bent eventally. I guess ill stick to my flathead for now unless someone has a better solution

ive used hair combs to straitin out the fins on my radiatior before. saves alot of time

You have got to be kiddin me... How is something put there specifically to protect the IC "rice". That's just lame man.

I used 0.5" square wire mesh painted black to replace the plastic grille on my S5 nose, installed with the wire running diagonally. It's barely noticable and looks very factory. It does not look rice...

IC fins are easiest straightened with a pair of small flathead screwdrivers.
