you will be happy
i did it with my 88 TII and the best way to describe it is that the car felt like it lost alot of wieght. you get quick revs, car becomes much quicker and feels lighter. its better on the tranny (shifting is smoother). i went from a stock (27lbs) f/w to an alum. 12lbs though. i loved it. im in the process of doing it to my 89 na this weekend.
all you have to do is adjust your clutch technique a lil to compensate for the less enertia on the f/w. high revs + quick release = engine will die. all i did was blip the gas peddle as the rpms dropped (lighter the f/w the faster the drop). fixed that problem real quick. you can adjust the dashpot to i think. i read that here before (do a search).
