Convertable BBS vs. 91 coupe 5 star

Well, for certain unknown reasons, i've decided to stick with 15inch wheels on my car. I currently have Stock 86 GXL rims on my car

I would like to upgrade, but i would like to hear your opinions first, just as a kinda of reassurance.

Should i get the nice Convertable 15" x 6.5 rims
or should i get the 1991 Stock 5 Star 15" x 6 rims

lets hear some Opinions.. thanks guys

-Markus

"The GXL rims had to go sometime"

I'll use em for Auto X

The only thing I don't like about the wheels on my convertible is that they are insanely difficult to keep clean.

MY vote is for the BBS rims also. That is what I am currently running on my FC, and I think they look great, and are ultra-light. Only drawback is expect to pay a good bit for the rims if you want them in excellent shape. I paid over $350 for my set (they are immaculate), but I have seen them go for much cheaper with some blemishes. Here is a pic of my car if you want to get an idea of how they will look on a coupe

(car is now equipped with tokico non 4x4 brand springs and struts.. )

if your keen on 15" then BBS all the way

mine would only take i 1 min per wheel extra to clean than more simple wheels ive had on other cars.. just need to use lots of warm water and dont let crap stay on there forever. if you wash your car often like you should it isent an issue

definetly bbs wheels. they're lighter and wider. even though you may not think they look as nice, they are better for performance.

Id go with the GXL wheels!!!

Actually Id go with the BBSs for performance sake after learning first hand how much lightweight wheels help out.

I have seen the BBS rims (and bought a set) on ebay
from 150.00 to 300.00 depending on blemishes- but they don't always have a full set of center caps- they usually get split up and sold for 25 to 75 bucks a pop.

powder coat the BBS in black or gun metal. Will save you hours of cleaning head aches
