flywheel and clutch

Can I use the S5 pressure plate and clutch on an S4 flywheel?

My engine that I'm installing is an 86 core, but i have a 89 pressure plate and clutch. I'm worried because I see pressure plates and clutches that are S4 and S5 specific.

They bolt on ok, but I havent put the enigne in my car yet.

Will this Combo work correctly?

This is a NON turbo setup by the way.

I'm using an S4 disk and PP on my S5, and have not had any problems. Make sure you use either the S4 or S5 disk and PP as a matched set, and use the TO bearing corresponding to the series of your tranny. For example, last year I installed a street/strip ACT clutch disk and pressure plate in my 90 GXL. I used the disk/PP combo for an S4, but used a TO bearing for an 89-91 NA 5-speed. Works fine. BTW, the ACT clutch is the way to go.
