flywheel

how do u guys keep the fly wheel staionary when trying to take of the nut?

hmm that kind of isnt a viable option as i have to buy a new clutch and driveline =(

i need the super ghetto way as i need all of the money i can get

Seriously, you will not get that nut off if you are already doing things on the ground (from your post I am assuming your doing it on the ground). You get it off with an impact gun with at least 350lb*ft of torque.

It is hard to manually remove the flywheel nut with the engine in the car. You need a large breaker bar and there often isn't any room. So an impact gun is the way to go, in which case you don't need to hold the flywheel.

But there are many ways. For example, a small length of chain between one of the clutch mounting bolts and a transmission bolt. Or get a piece of angle iron and drill two holes in it to match up with two clutch bolts.

Those flywheel stoppers are only $23.

u have to use a gun unless u have a buddy hold the motor from turning over in front and u use a breaker bar
